Testimonials & Impact

“Bishopswood Infants originally was a Local Authority Supported School and judged RI by Ofsted with 152 pupils on role. The school has now been judged as a Good school for over 8 years and has averaged 177 pupils on role over the last 5 years. This is an increase in pupil numbers of 16.4%. The school also turned a 3-year deficit budget into a 3-year surplus”

Mrs. Jo Slimin, Chair of Governors

“Bramley C of E Primary was on the highest level of support from the LA for over 7 years and fluctuated between Inadequate and Requires Improvement with 352 pupils on role. The school has now been judged as a Good school for over 10  years and has averaged 425 pupils on role over the last 5 years, moving to 475 this September. This is an increase in pupil numbers of 35%. The school has also transformed their budget from a projected £250k deficit in Year 3 to a 5-year projected surplus of at least 3% of their budget share. The school is currently expanding to meet its growing demand”

Mr. Mark Smith, Chair of Governors

“Silchester C of E Primary School only joined the Partnership in September 2023. At this time, although a Good school, it was heavily supported by the local authority, with many areas needing to improve, including leadership, safeguarding and pupil outcomes. We are delighted that four terms later, the school was judged to be Good across all areas with 100% of parents strongly agreeing that they would recommend this school to other parents. For the first time in 8 years, we are now full in Year R for September 2026, and have a waiting list”.

Mrs R Moir, Head of School

“When we approached the Partnership in 2021, Whitewater C of E Primary school was in desperate need of experienced leaders who could improve the quality of education for our pupils and re-build the trust and confidence of our whole school community.

During the process of exploration and information gathering, Governors quickly felt confident that joining the Partnership would offer the school the rapid improvement it needed to secure positive outcomes for all children and ensure future financial stability for the school.

Every success criterion has been either reached or exceeded. Our pupil numbers have grown from 89 to 128; our children are thriving socially, emotionally, and academically; the school’s financial future is secure; and feedback from parents and staff is overwhelmingly positive. This is consistently validated via the school’s leadership team’s self-evaluation and external bodes (such as Ofsted, SIAMS, LA).

As a governing body, we are exceptionally proud of the compassion, experience and resourcefulness shown not only by the Executive Leadership Team but also by every member of staff who have been part of the school’s journey”.
